Two young housemaids, Hope and Ngozi Ajunwa, aged 11 and nine, will live with the scars inflicting on the by their mistress, Agnes Uchendu and her son, Ikechukwu Uchendu, for allegedly unable to account for a missing N100, as they were tortured and burned with hot electric iron and other dangerous weapons.

The incident which happened in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, has landed the wicked mistress and her son in police net while the girls are in the hospital receiving treatment but the mental scarvthey suffer may live with them forever.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ezekiel Onyeke, the evil deeds of mother and son were brought to light based on a petition written by the state branch of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, led by one Barrister Florence E. Igwe.

Onyeke said:

“Upon the receipt of the petition, operatives proceeded to the given address and arrested both suspects and rescued the victims.

One of the victims, Ngozi Ajunwa, had injuries on the sole of her foot and other parts of her body.

The victims had wounds on other parts of their bodies which were inflicted by the suspects with a hot electric pressing iron.

During interrogation, Ikechukwu admitted committing the crime alleging that the minors stole one hundred Naira (N100.00).”
