Why every famous artists has to launch his own clothing brand? Anyway, Rihanna is the next singer, who has decided to delve further into to the fashion world by building her own fashion empire, according to Grazia. The outlet reports Rih’s company, Roraj Trade, LLC, has filed to trademark the brand name $CHOOL KILLS under the clothing and leather product categories at the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office last month.
Rihanna’s strategy involves coming up with an accessories line and popularizing it, before liberating a complete clothing collection. Since this will be a time-consuming process, it is quite understandable why the Bajan diva will have to prioritize her fashion career over her music.
“ She still loves the music, and it's what launched her, but this is her focus right now,” a source told Grazia. “[She] is not limiting herself to just music and touring for the rest of her life.”
Currently creative director of Puma, Rihanna was named Dior’s first black spokeswoman earlier this year.
Not to mention her previous collaborations with River Island and the fact she received the CFDA Fashion Icon Award last year.
Evidently, her love for fashion is tremendous. But what is even more evident is we’ll have to wait for R8 a bit longer.
