Suspected Boko Haram militants
reportedly attacked another market in a Borno state town on March 8.
Punch informs with reference to its
anonymous source that five people were killed as a result of the explosion.

“The insurgents planted a bomb at thebentrance to the Beneisheikh market around 10am on Sunday and this led to the death ofbfive persons while 15 others were injured.

“Today, being the market day in Benisheikh, villagers do come to buy and sell grains and other farm produce but they had bad news
to tell as a bomb suspected to be planted by a suspected Boko Haram insurgent exploded
leading to the death of the five people.”

Ibrahim assumed that the casualty figure could have been higher, if the insurgents had planed the device within the market.bOne Modu Gana confirmed the development:

“We saw the dead bodies being conveyed to the Beneisheikh Hospital and those wounded were assisted by the members of the civilian JTF to the hospital. The market dispersed as people and traders took to their heels for safety after the explosion occurred.”

The incident comes after the recent
multiple bombing in Maiduguri, the capital of the state. Borno State Commissioner of Police, Clement Adoda, on Saturday spoke about 58 deaths. Based on the updates from unofficial sources, the death toll has risen. The Nation now informs about 62 and Vanguard – about 100 casualties.

Over the weekend Boko Haram
announced alliance with the Islamic State (ISIS), one of the most dreaded and powerful terrorist groups in the world. The claim was made in a new audio released by the Nigerian sect leader Abubakar Shekau (or his impostor). It is currently expected that the ISIS releases a video accepting Boko Haram’s pledge of allegiance to the group.
