A housewife in Enugu state, Mrs. Grace Agbo has been accused of killing her husband, Elijah Agbo, in the Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of the state.
According to a report on Punch, the woman used a heavy stick to smash her husband’s head.
Giving account of what happened, the Enugu state police spokesperson, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu said on that fateful day, March 5, 2015, Mr. Agbo was in the living room of his house, relaxing with his wife and 12- year-old daughter, Deborah.
Grace later asked her daughter to go to bed at about 9p.m. Deborah obeyed her mother’s instruction, unknown to her that would be the last time she would see her
father alive.
Not long after she left for the bedroom, Deborah had a loud scream from her father, accompanied by a thud and she rushed to the living room. On getting there, she found her father lying on the floor, with blood gushing from his head, which
had been smashed by the mother with a heavy stick.
Mr. Agbo, who hails from Imirike Agu
village in Udenu Local Government Area of the state but resides in Isiuzo died on the spot while his wife was later arrested by the Enugu state police.
Amaraizu explained that the reason
Grace murdered her husband in cold blood is yet-to-be determined.
